I love the way that your husband has managed to capture the essence of the old and the new Bristol, so well in his shot. It puts a whole new perspective on things which, as almost ‘locals’, we take for granted.
I am impressed by the clear blue sky though, it isn’t often that you see a sight like that over Bristol, I can tell you!

Nice contrast of old and new. The red boat grabbed my eye, and then I realized that was a cathedral poking up in the background.
So lovely.
All that’s missing from this is me, strolling along the ag’ed-stone boardwalk, whistling an old English ditty and sipping my Starbucks coffee — thinking of how awesome it is to be lolligagging about on my third week of an eight-week vacation!

The red-hulled boat and the one with the blue roof are an interesting contrast to the historic buildings.

I love the boats in front of that gorgeous architecture. Europe’s history is just incredible, I cannot wait to visit again, and maybe Bristol and the other spots he visited should be on my list! All of these photos you’ve shared are incredible.
Isn’t it funny what grabs different people? I scrolled through the comments and saw all these remarks about the red boat–which hadn’t caught my eye at all! I was busy looking at the cathedral.
I love the bright color of the boats against the blue sky and the brown of the architecture.
