My husband surprised me with an early birthday present: plane tickets to Tucson for the Festival of Books!
Even more exciting? I’m going to be staying with Jill from Rhapsody in Books, and so is Softdrink from Fizzy Thoughts (aka FizzyJill)! It should be a fun weekend with both of the Jills!
Ms. Rhapsody in Books and I have been talking about having a book blogger get-together/dinner on the evening of Saturday, March 10th. If you are a book blogger planning to attend the festival and would like to join us please let me (or Jill) know!

OMG I am SO JEALOUS!!! That is such a nice thing for your husband to do. He did that last year too didn’t he? Rhapsody Jill and I have been scheming for years about how to get my sorry butt out there. I’m hoping for a work conference for my husband…it is going to happen, I just know it will. You are going to have a ball.
He did fly me down there last year too, but I didn’t think we’d be able to swing it this year. Turns out he had enough extra miles from all of the travel he’s been doing lately so he cashed some of them in for this trip.
I’m green with envy since I’ve been dying to meet Jill of Rhapsody in Books. I just know the three of you will have a great time at the festival and being together.
Such a great gift!! I wish I could go but that is my husband’s birthday weekend and somehow I doubt he would see that as a gift for him!
