Saturday Snapshot – November 5

To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky below. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.

Our leaves are finally changing color, but we already had one big rainstorm last week, so I don’t know how much longer they will stay on the trees.

This is a little tree sprout in the bark dust in between the bushes in front of our house. Soon we'll have to pluck it out because I don't want a tree growing there.

Aww what a cute little titch of a thing that is. Too bad it has to go.

  5. The color changes were very late here as well. That one is pretty great!

  6. Paulita says:

Ah. Those red leaves look so lonely clinging there. It has been a strange autumn. It seems to have taken forever for the leaves to change here in Ohio and they’re quickly disappearing now. Here’s My Saturday Snapshot

  7. Alyce – Are you going to be reading any Christmas books during Dec? If you are, please come check out my Christmas challenge and contest.

  8. Staci says:

The changing colors is what makes this my favorite time of the year!

  9. Oh, what a lovely vignette this one makes, though! Too bad it has to go. I love the color.

  10. Beautiful! We get hardly any leaves changing, but I wish we did!

  11. How beautiful – I wish we had fall colors!

  12. The rich red autumn leaves were inspiration for my business card a few years ago. Still love the colour. Your photo is excellent, Alyce.

  13. Jill says:

I love when the leaves change. Our area is still a mess from an early snowstorm that took out a lot of branches, since they were covered with leaves still, and thousands of homes went without power for days. Enjoy your colors!

  14. Our color changes this year have not been as bright as pictures I’ve seen from other bloggers around the U.S. They have, however, begun to fall. I will shortly have to begin my annual scoop the leaves out of the pool daily ritual for the next several months. :/

That’s a lovely shade of red. My maple tree turns golden in the autumn. It was filled with beautiful leaves this week and a storm came through and blew them all down on Thursday. Now I’m raking, raking, raking.

  19. Lisa says:

I always feel bad pulling up the little sprouts. They ought to have a fighting chance.

  20. Nise' says:

Last weekend we took a drive and enjoyed the beautiful fall colors.

  21. Kristina says:

I love leaves, they are so pretty =)

  22. Stephen says:

Beautiful! Our yard had quite a few healthy young saplings growing in it in addition to a host of trees, but we decided — alas — the youngsters had to go. I wanted to let them stay there so whoever lives here a generation from now could have even more leaves to rake up than we do.

I mean, I wanted them to have more shade to appreciate. :)

  23. Anne says:

I have an idea. Why don’t you dig that darling little maple start and send it to me? I love the color! This is my first time posting a snapshot on your meme. Thanks.
