Halloween has been sneaking up on me this year even though we went to the pumpkin patch two weeks ago. I think a lot of that is due to me spending most of my week in bed sick with a cough and then a migraine. I was shocked to realize when putting this post together that there are only two days left until Halloween.
So, in the spirit of the holiday, here are some pumpkin patch photos:

I have never seen a pumpkin cannon before. That is hilarious! My kids would have had a blast watching pumpkins flying through the air and crashing into things. Have a happy Halloween, Alyce!
I haven’t heard of pumpkin cannons before either! The corn maze looks like great fun.
A pumpkin canon is a new one for me too. And I’ve never been in a corn maze. I need to get out more!
Oh pumpkin canons! How I miss the corn mazes and crazy things like that. If there’s one thing I don’t love about France, it’s the lack of fall/Halloween festivities.
Here’s my Saturday Snapshot
I’ve never heard of pumpkin canons! Very seasonal.
Oh wow, that looks like a day well spent! Your little corn maze guy looks like he’s hot on the trail
I’ll bet they had a great time!
What fun and it looks like it was a beautiful fall day.
Never got to a pumpkin patch when we were in Oregon. That one looks like fun. So, where do the pumpkins go when they are cannoned? LOL
Some go way up in the air into far fields (so far up and small you can hardly see them when they explode on impact). More fun were the ones that were shot at the junkyard cars about 50 yards away. Those caused huge damaged to the cars/trucks (blasting in huge dents, blowing tires, shattering windows, etc.) and vaporized the pumpkins on impact. It was pretty impressive.

These pictures are precious Alyce and what HUGE pumpkins.
Those are huge pumpkins! I’ve always wanted to see some pumpkin cannons. Such fun!
I think pumpking cannons are a brilliant idea. I’ve had a friend who made a potato cannon and it is so loud. I bet pumpkin cannons are even louder. Did you dig into those pumpkins yet? That’s going to be a lot of pumpkin seeds. Here’s Mine
One of the pumpkins got carved a few days ago, the rest will get cleaned and carved today by my husband. I can’t wait to see how mine turns out!
I love seeing your boys in their uniforms! They look so handsome. Those are some serious pumpkin cannons!
Pumpkin cannons are new to me, too. I love the photos! The one in the maze looks like something from a scary movie. But your son doesn’t look scared…LOL. He looks very happy!
It looks like a good time was had by all.
Oh this looks like so much fun!!!
Wish I was there!
Holy cow what huge pumpkins! Can’t wait to see how you all carve them!
WOW, my husband and son would love to see a pumpkin cannon! This is new to me but I’m not surprised (sounds like fun).
Great photo’s, enjoy the weekend!
I’ve been wanting to do a corn maze! I lov those pumpkins and the boys smiles!
Some of those pumpkins are right monsters!
Pumpkin cannons — that’s a first for me. Hope you’re feeling much better now — migraines can really take a chunk out of your life.
I had never heard of Pumpkin cannons before. Enjoy your day.
Looks like a lot of fun!
I LOVE the annual trip to the pumpkin patch!!! It’s one of the best things about Fall!!!
Wow, some of those pumpkins are huge! Great for carving! Your sons look like they’re having a great time!
I think pumpkin cannons are such an odd idea but they’re also fun! Kids seem to really like them.
What good looking, big pumpkins. I’m a bit envious of anyone who lives anywhere with pumpkins patches
Pumpkins through the canons-very clever idea. Mazes are scary but fun before halloween.
Cool! I love all things Halloween. i’ve heard about shooting pumpkins out of cannons or off of sling shots, but never witnessed it.
I’ve never heard of pumpkin cannons before. Those pumpkins are huge!!
Joining the crowd to say I’ve never heard of pumpkin cannons either. Sounds like something I’d have found fun to see as a kid. Those are definitely some nice looking pumpkins the kids chose this year – far better than any I’ve seen in the stores yet!
Those pumpkin launchers are hilarious!
Also quite scary. See, if I happened upon this scene unaware, I might conclude that aliens have indeed already landed or something. I’m a very paranoid personality, as can be seen in my own Saturday Snapshot posting.
Hope your headache has taken a hike!
Is that a pink pumpkin trebuchet?? I love watching those things!
We saw a TV show with pumpkin cannons. It could have been the World Championship (hosted by the Mythbusters?). Anyway, it was pretty neat. Great photos. I hope you are feeling better.
I haven’t heard of a pumpkin canon either – I’m sure my boys would love that too! I’m also impressed by the size of your pumpkins ours never seem to get that big here in the UK. Hope you have a lovely Halloween!
I always have to be accompanied into a maze, no matter how simple it might be. Trust me, I’ll get lost
Looks like a lot of fun. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a pumpkin cannon before.
The pumpkins are HUGE! So much fun!
